The man at the head of the race, in a white shirt, was the winner of the race. His name was Issac Lusk, Superintendant Works and Buildings. The footrace was sponsored by the Yukon Order of Pioneers (note man in sash at finish line) and was referred to as the Pioneer Foot Race. Inscription verso: Discovery Day 1915, Pioneer race. Lusk winner.
